Touchscreen buttons over top of video
We're looking at potentially using 13 Brightsign 810's or 1010's for an upcoming project. Each unit will be connected to a 19" touchscreen where the user has the ability to select from either a series of videos, or simply language selection in the case of stations that only have one video. It seems the basic navigation we are after is possible with these units and BrightAuthor (we downloaded it and have been playing around), but I can't seem to find any confirmation of whether or not it's possible to add navigation buttons over top of a video once it's playing? Or how it would work? Here's the navigation we're after: Attract Loop with 2 buttons for language selection (English / French) Once language is selected, the user is taken to a menu that gives them an option of 3-6 videos they can play. When they select a video, I'd like the ability to have a 'home' or 'back' button that would take the user to the menu selection. If no input is detected after say 1 minute on the menu, the unit flips back to the attract loop. In addition to the 'back' or 'home' button, we're also curious about adding play/pause, fast forward, and rewind buttons as well (although those aren't critical). I assume the actual graphic of the button would need to be incorporated into the video, and then using Bright Author we can specify a protion of the screen that would correspond to those buttons? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks. Mike.
