Hello:
Saw something new I haven't seen before. HD210's connected to LG Flatron M4224C displays. The top half of the screen showed the output from the BrightSign's fine, but the lower half of the screen was all digital garbage/noise. Tried another HDMI cable, the same, tried another BrightSign, the same. BrightSign's and content were supposedly tested on a display before being sent out to trade show, but I do not know what model monitor they used. Updated firmware, the same issue. Used the infamous Reset All script, output was normal at the end. Went back to the Published file set, and it went back to the lower half of the screen with the digital noise/garbage.
I didn't author the content, so I don't know what refresh frequency the project was set for, but I do know it was set for 1920x1080 resolution, same as the video files. On a whim I built a new project (I had a copy of the video files - it was just a simple short loop) at 1920x1080 60i - and loaded that onto the player, and it came up playing fine. I am not sure what the originally authored content was set for, but the LG Display should have been able to display any format that the BrightSign puts out, so I'm not sure what exactly was going on, but at least they are working now.
Has anyone else seen anything like this?
John
