Bright author 3.2

HI, 

I am working for a big museum in Berlin and they have a few brightsign units for me to use for media playback. 

They have newer units (hd120 and HD 222) as well as older units (HD910 HD970)

I can obviously use the newer BrightAuthor for the newer units but for the older ones I have problems, i.e no software to create presentations. I have searched and searched and cannot find an older version. 3.2 would be adequate, if my research is correct.

Would someone know where I could find it?

I am aware of some of the previous responses in the forums ( brightsign not supporting older units and that one should contact the point of sale for support).

But frankly that does not cut it for me (and more importantly to my boss). I work for a museum that paid for the unit. they say brightsign on it and they expect support, not to be told to buy newer units. Not when one of the last exhibition required 42 videos (-> 42 units) to run.

    Hi,

    "brightsign not supporting older units and that one should contact the point of sale for support". That's actually quite incorrect. The HD910 and HD970 are not official BrightSign products. They're what I would call an OEM product designed for a different channel. The channel that these units are sold into manages the support for those players themselves. We manufacture boxes for various customers (usually in different colours). If the box is a purple box, support@brightsign.biz will handle support for that box. If it's not purple then you need to get in touch with the person that sold it to you. If you've bought this player on ebay or 2nd hand from somewhere else you've probably bought it outside the official channel...

    Romeo, Will Bright Author ver4.6.0.18 work with HD1010 boxes? we are having trouble with our older version 3.8.0.41.

    No, BrightAuthor 4.x/newer does not support the legacy HDx10 players.

    What problem are you having with BrightAuthor 3.8.0.41?

    when we go to publish an error box comes up titled Assertion Failed with a long list script.

    Please cause the error, click Abort, then send us the BrightAuthor event log file.  If you don't want to post it publicly, send it to support@brightsign.biz to create a support ticket (that's generally the better way to get official support anyway as it enters our queue and gets tracked).
